Tanya de Lange has been an integral part of #TeamTrifocus for many years now. For her, fitness started out as being a passion which she juggled with her full-time career. Over the years, she has managed to turn her passion into her career as has launched a very successful gym in the heart of Sandton. We catch up with her on her thoughts about what it means to be fit and healthy.

What is your motivation for pursuing a healthy and fit lifestyle?
Remaining fit and healthy is all about discipline. Once I master a particular aspect, I can apply it in all avenues of my life.
What do you enjoy about the fitness lifestyle?
Being fit makes me feel happier, healthier, more confident, more radiant and balanced.
How often do you work out a week? Why?
I work out five times a week. This is because I’m constantly trying to improve on my physique.
What is your favourite type of workout and why?
Without a doubt, my favourite exercise has to be a glute workout because I feel that this is my best feature!
There are a lot of fitness academies that you can choose to study at. Why did you decide on Trifocus?
Trifocus is approachable, they are constantly creating new and exciting content and keep the learning journey fresh and interesting for their students. They really do care and support their students through their business growth and outsource opportunities.
What courses have you done at Trifocus Fitness Academy? Why did you decide to study them?
As I said the last time we chatted, I did the following courses at Trifocus Fitness Academy:
- Personal Training Certification
- Personal Training Diploma
- Life Coaching Certification
- Specialised Nutrition Course
- Bootcamp Course.
These topics relate to me and what I am currently interested in. It involves goal setting to achieve results and a bit of bootcamp for my team to work and enjoy together.
Did you study online or in class? If online, why did you decide to study online?
Initially I started online as I had a full-time office job. I then joined the classes as I found out that these were at night classes. I flew through my course.
What are your fitness goals for 2019?
To launch my own global website and be a fitness influencer on a global scale. I want to start my own TV show that deals with training people up for their first shoot – much like Revenge Bodies.
If someone, who is just starting out on their fitness journey, came to you for advice, what would you tell them? Why?
Just do it! Even if you are not sure where you are heading, just start. Opportunity will present itself and the road will unfold as you start your studies.
